This very unique tour is designed especially for those who have toured the battlefields previously and would like to return for the extra special anniversary events. It's also ideal for those who have shorter vacation timelines and wish to be on hand for the historic events.
Your pilgrimage takes you direct to Normandy to be on hand for the expected special commemoration events, and concludes with two nights in Paris to wind down and see one of the most beautiful cities in all of Europe. The tour includes visits to sites of significance to Canada and her allies:
Juno Beach sector featuring the 75th Anniversary Commemorative Events at the Juno Beach Centre, Courseulles-sur-Mer, France
Sword Beach sector including Pegasus Bridge and Ranville
the Falaise Gap, the Abbaye d'Ardennes, and more
Beny-sur-Mer & Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian War Cemeteries
begins and concludes in Paris
This will be your pilgrimage to Juno Beach. While the rest of Canada watches the special ceremonies on television you will be there, in person, to honour Canada's sacrifice and remember those brave soldiers who fought for freedom and justice. In particular, you will visit the final resting place of those soldiers who stayed behind to keep the peace.
On this 2019 tour we pay special homage to the 75th Anniversary of D-Day and the Liberation of Normandy. Official events are expected to include remembrance ceremonies at Beny-sur-Mer and Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian War Cemeteries along with the official 75th Anniversary Commemoration at the Juno Beach Centre. Details are expected from Veterans Affairs Canada in late 2018. Your excursion includes a visit to Paris, the City of Light. You’ll travel with a typically all-Canadian group, usually comprised of an even mixture of men and women. Read what past travelers have said about our trips.
